There are several options to get to and from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport, none of them particularly expensive. In general, it should take no more than one hour to get to your destination in the city – or even as far as Pattaya.
Metered taxis, limousine services, buses, and public vans are all available at the airport. There is even an elevated train which will bring you right into the the heart of Bangkok.
Getting into downtown Bangkok with the Airport Rail Link
The most convenient method would be the Airport Rail Link (ARL). Not only is the fee reasonable, but it will avoid Bangkok’s notorious traffic jams allowing you to reach your destination fast and safe.
The SA City Line, which operates daily from 6am to midnight, will make eight stops across the capital before reaching its terminal stop at Phaya Thai. Every 15 minutes a train is available, and it only takes 17 minutes from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport to downtown Phaya Thai.
A single trip ticket costs 90 THB.
